Data Definitions & Structure

EVAMOSC implements data definitions, taxonomy, and business rules defined by the DoD Cost Community and codified in DoDI 5000.73. Specifically, the data definitions and taxonomy are defined in the September 2020 Operating and Support Cost Guide, published by OSD CAPE. This document provides OSD's O&S cost element structure, with associated terms and definitions, which categorizes and defines cost elements that cover the full range of O&S costs that could be encountered in any major weapon system. EVAMOSC cost data will be reported using the cost element structure defined by the O&S Cost Guide in order to ensure data definitions, business rules, and taxonomy are standardized across all Services and weapons systems.
